it will rip caked on dirt and material off plastic and aluminum so incredibly easily, I use it every day at work. Tip to everyone using this and in general with using wire and nylon brushes in this application (of removing and cleaning caked on material that you would otherwise need to scrape off material), you can knock off material caked into the brush by hitting it with a wire wheel
