I absolutely hate to handle raw meat when I'm cooking, and I hate the lingering smells on your hands when cutting up things like onion and garlic, etc. I bought these gloves specifically for food handling to avoid these inconveniences, and it works. The gloves are well made and thick. They definitely protect your hands from odors and they give you good grip when using with a knife or other kitchen tools. A bit pricey, but worth it.
