Description

Woodfield 304-Alloy Stainless Steel 18" x 16" Radiant Fireback protects the backwall of the fireplace and reflects heat to the room. Each fireback has a gentle curve applied to its back. This pre-stresses the fireback to minimize warping. The Radiant Fireback weighs in at about one-sixth the weight of a cast-iron fireback. It's easier to handle.

This was exactly what we needed. We have some loose bricks in the back of the chimney, and wanted more heat in the room. Placing this across the back covered the damaged area. I can't swear that it pushes out more heat - maybe it does. It turned black from the fire, which is fine with us. Completely satisfied.

Functional and practical. Really increases the efficiency of the fireplace and ensures the fire does not damage the enclosure. I like the simple and classic design. Best part is the price- it's a fraction of the cost of a cast iron one.
